Nazca Lines & Geoglyphs
The Nazca Lines are surely one of the top 20 Ancient Mysteries and are a group of very large geoglyphs formed by depressions or shallow incisions made in the soil of the Nazca Desert in southern Peru, and are an estimated 2500 years old.
Most lines run straight across the landscape, but there are also figurative designs of animals and plants, made up of lines. The individual figurative geoglyph designs measure between 0.4 and 1.1 km (.2 and .7 mi) across. The combined length of all the lines is over 1,300 km (808 mi), and the group cover an area of about 50 sq km (19 sq mi). The lines are typically 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6 in) deep.
Included in the Geoglyphs are about 70 animals, including a hummingbird, a spider, a whale, a condor, a Pelican, a monkey, a dog and a humanoid figure called the Astronaut. Apart from the Geoglyphs of animals there are also trees and flowers, and, also, many long straight lines and what look like ancient Aircraft Runways Their true magnificence was only discovered with the advent of airplanes as they can only be really seen from over 1500 feet The Nazca lines, despite being 2500 years old, are still visible today because the Nazca desert is one of the driest on Earth and has little or no wind, which has helped keep the lines uncovered. But…………. The real questions are: - how could the Geoglyphs be so perfectly drawn with no advanced mapping and Surveying equipment? - Why were they drawn to be only really visible from the air? - How would a primitive people draw a Pelican, Hermit, Parrot and Whale when they are not even found within thousands of miles of Nazca? - Why were the Straight lines drawn? The Answer to us is obvious, The Nazca people MUST have had the help of an advanced Alien Civilization to draw them. 2019 Latest Research – The Mystery DeepensLatest research on the geometric shapes indicates that some were identified incorrectly, and that the figures are actually of birds who lived far away from the site of geoglyphs. This clearly raises many new questions. Among the 16 massive bird carvings are a hermit (a forest species) and a pelican (a coastal bird), according to research published in June 2019 in the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports. The figure of a “hummingbird” is now considered to be a hermit, which is a close relation to a hummingbird but not found in the area around Nazca.
