Puma Punku

Date of Construction: Unknown, from before the last Ice Age 10,000 BC - 500BC
Built by: Unknown
Could Construction have been carried out WITHOUT ALIEN help?: In the view of the Editors NO, the stones of Puma Punku are made of granite and Diorite, the only stone that could have cut these is diamond, the thought that an acient people had advaced Diamond edged cutting equipment in totally unbelievable, not to mention moving extremely heavy stones (the heaviest weight at 800 tonnes) at least 10 miles. Of all the ancient ruins and mysteries, the building of this one by ancient people without the help of Aliens or an advanced civilisation is totally unbelievable. Ancient Mysteries: Puma Punku in Tiahuanaco, Bolivia the greatest of them allPuma Punku is located in Tiahuanaco, Bolivia - Puma Punku covers a large part of the massive ancient city of Tiwanaku and it is located just southeast of Lake Titicaca in the Andes. - The city predates Inca presence in that part of South America. The ruins are the oldest and most baffling ruins on the Earth - Early explorer and engineer Arthur Posnansky, one of the first modern explorers of the site, dated Puma Punku to about 15,000 B.C.; modern archaeologist Neil Steede stands behind Posnansky’s claim. Posnansky used the astronomical alignments of the site’s main temple to date it. “They built the temple itself as a giant clock,” Steede said.
On the first day of spring, the sun rises directly above the center of the temple, through a stone archway. The sunrise moves along the horizon as the days of the year pass. Posnansky expected to find the sun rise above cornerstones on either side of the temple on the summer and winter solstices, but found it rose some distance off. Looking at where the sunrise would have been 17,000 years ago on the solstices, however, the cornerstones align.
The ruins of Puma Punku are one of four structures in the ancient city of Tiahuanaco. - The other three structures are the Akapana Pyramid, the Kalasasaya Platform, and the Subterranean Temple - Even with modern-day technology and information, these structures defy logic and confound those who seek to solve the mysteries that lie within them - Puma Punku is believed to have once contained a great wharf and a massive four-part structure - Puma Punku was possibly destroyed in the Great flood that happened about 10,000BC (12,000 years ago) Could the ruins of Puma Punku be evidence of a long-lost civilization? - there is scientific evidence of tools, bones, and other material within flood alluvia, which suggests that a civilized people were there prior to the flood - carvings of bearded people that are not of the Andean people have been recorded throughout the area.- The stones in Puma Punku are made up of granite and diorite - the only stone that is harder that these stones and can cut them is the diamond. - if the people who built this place cut these stones using stone cutting techniques, then they would have to have used diamond tools. If they didn't use diamonds to cut these stones, then what did they use? - the stones are extremely heavy, the largest is estimated to weigh 800 tons - The stones were transported at least 16Km (10 miles) How in the world did these people move these blocks that weighed many tons, and how were they able to form a structure with them? The Stones were cut so they interlocked in place like a puzzle - these stones were finely cut in perfectly straight lines - the holes cored into these stones are perfect, and all of equal depth - there is no mortar used in the construction - there are only great stones that fitted together creating a structure some four levels high Who Built Puma Punku? The simple answer is no-one has any idea, but there are many theories including: - a race of ancient aliens helped the local people build them. There are actual records of mythical origin, regarding gods and the part that they took in the creation of these places. These people either died out, left or maybe killed in the great flood, there is some evidence to support this suggestion. Perhaps these ancient people were technologically advanced at some point, and all but a few were wiped out. The remainder would have had to start civilization all over again, and of course the ancient records would be lost. Puma Punku was constructed somehow, and if it would be very difficult for us today to build a place like Puma Punku, then how did these ancient people accomplish it? Did they have advanced technology similar to ours, and then die off?Maps have been found that would seem to support this theory. Maps such as the Piri Reis (1513), and the Oronteus Finaeus (1531), have been found that pre-date European discoveries. Not only are these maps precise, but they seem to claim that they are copies from even older maps. These maps show the coastline of South America, rivers, and even part of Antarctica which was not thought to have been mapped until 1818. These maps contain landmarks, as well as depictions of the areas which appear to be very accurate. Some people don't believe that these maps could have been made without flying over these areas in the sky.
